I first heard about George and what a wonderful author and chef he was, from the Rancho Santa Fe Farmer’s Market director, the day I presented my quinoa demonstration. Instantly I decided to check out his web-site, The Vegetarian Guy http://georgevutetakis.com/blog/ and see what he’s all about. His blog is very informative, introducing the reader to new crops available at the farmers market, innovative and delicious recipes, along with beautiful full-color food photography of places his visits. Enjoying his site daily, I decided to contact him for a meeting.
I gave him a call once I decided to place him on the calender of events for the cooking school at the Garden Club. We met and chatted a few hours on his presentation and I booked him for an evening, in fact May 19th to be exact!

About Chef George
George Vutetakis learned “the language of food” as a young boy in his Greek grandmother’s kitchen. It was there that he was first exposed to the value of cultural traditions in cooking. His discoveries continued with travels to India, where he was taught philosophic and traditional food preparation methods. Today, using time-honored techniques as his guide, he weaves the Mediterranean and Indian flavors of his youth into many of his extraordinary dishes.
His reputation as a leader in the creation of delicious, healthy and innovative vegetarian cuisine using fresh, unadulterated ingredients flourished as chef and owner of the award winning Inn Season Cafe in Royal Oak, Michigan.
