Marinara Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 28oz. can tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon freshly minced parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 pound of pasta of your choice, cooked

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the olive oil and garlic, saute for 1-2 minutes. Do not brown.

  2. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes.

  3. This sauce can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.

  4. While the sauce is cooking boil up your pasta.
